Sustainability

Electrostatic Precipitator

ASL prioritises maintaining air quality for the environment and efficient production and Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) are key to achieving this. ESPs use the power of electrostatic attraction to capture dust and particles from the air.
As air from our textile processes flows through the ESP, it dramatically reduces the release of particulate matter and harmful emissions, ensuring that the air inside and outside the factory remains clean.

Effluent Discharge Plant

ASL employs industry-compliant Primary and Secondary Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), a vital cleaner, for a more sustainable future. Primary ETPs remove physical contaminants, like solids, from wastewater, while Secondary ETPs use biological processes to break down pollutants. Together, they ensure that water discharged from industrial processes is safer for the environment.
ASL proudly stands among the 138+ members of the NTIEM, which operates one of the largest Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) in India with a remarkable capacity of 100 MLD. This achievement reflects our dedication to responsible water management and our commitment to ensuring the sustainability of our textile processing operations.

Textile and Other Waste

Our waste management focuses on recycling, upcycling, and reuse. Textile waste is carefully sorted by colour, size, and quality for upcycling. We donate a significant portion to Manav Sadhna, empowering women to create home furnishings and earn a stable income.
In our offices, we prioritise reducing paper and plastic use. Reusable printed paper is collected for everyone’s access, and we’ve always used reusable utensils while discouraging single-use plastic items such as bottles, cups, and bags.
